Bridge to Terabithia Book Review

Katherine Paterson's book really has it all. Best friends, adventures, imagination, magic, young love, bullies, and the heart wrenching / tear jerking death of a beloved character. When Jess Aarons meets a new girl named Leslie, the two become fast friends. One day while out in the woods, Jess and Leslie create a magical kingdom with their imaginations where they can escape life's everyday problems. There, they are king and queen. When ever they're bullied, they swing over the river and into the woods where Terabithia lies. Together, they have many grand adventures. But, one fateful day while Jess is on a school field trip, the death of a friend will turn his world upside down. This is a moving and incredible book. The reading level is fine for kids 8-12, but kids under the age of ten might not be able to handle some of the content. I'm thirteen, and I cried for five whole minutes. Still, this is a must read for kids 10-13
