Matilda Book Review

To change the world it takes a little genius... and Matilda's the girl for the job! Roald Dahl (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The BFG) tells the story of a young super genius named Matilda, who soon discovers she has powers many only dream of. Matilda meets  Miss. Trunchbull, the horrible headmistress of her school who is unfair and incredibly mean. With the help of her kind teacher Miss. Honey, her new best friend, Lavender, and an incredible super power, Matilda stands up to the wicked headmistress. This heartwarming and funny book has a good morale, which is no matter how little you are, you can do big things. Reading level wise, it's good for 8+, but some of the content might not be good for kids under the age of ten (there's a part where it's implied Miss. Honey's father was murdered, also Matilda's father is a crook, sneaking stolen car parts into the country, and selling people horrible cars he claims are almost new.). But don't worry! It has a very happy ending. Otherwise, this book is great for kids 10-12.
